Departure is from the Diabat off-road base, a bucolic village less than 5 minutes from downtown Essaouira, known for its peaceful atmosphere and musical legends.
1. Briefing & Oued Ksob crossing (15 min)
After being fitted with gear (helmet and hygienic hair net) and receiving safety instructions, you take your first laps. The route begins by crossing the sandy bed of the Oued Ksob river — flat, open terrain ideal for getting used to the throttle and brakes.
2. Forest trails & Dar El Sultan ruins (25 min)
You then head onto tracks lined with mimosa and fragrant eucalyptus. The highlight of this section is discovering the mysterious ruins of Dar El Sultan Palace. This former 18th-century royal pavilion, gradually taken over by sand, offers a striking and picturesque backdrop.
3. Return along the great beach (20 min)
