For those who want the most complete quad experience in Essaouira, our full-day circuits combine in a single outing every landscape that makes the region rich: the Atlantic beach and its coastal dunes, the thuya forest and UNESCO-listed argan grove, Berber villages in the hinterland, and panoramic views over the ocean from the hills. These quad circuits are guided excursions of 5 to 6 hours departing in the morning and finishing in the late afternoon. Unlike 2–3 hour tours that stay close to the coast, circuits venture into the Essaouira countryside to reveal an authentic Morocco far from the usual tourist trails. Each circuit includes an English-speaking guide, a traditional lunch (Berber tagine or mechoui depending on the package), water throughout the day, and pickup from your accommodation. The route of an Essaouira quad circuit
Departure is around 9am from your hotel or our base. After the briefing, you head to the beach for a first 45-minute segment on Atlantic sand. The guide adapts speed and route to the tide and conditions. Next, you climb the coastal dunes — the most spectacular part of the circuit, with ascents along sand ridges offering 360° views over the ocean and hinterland. The third segment takes you into the argan grove, a unique forest where argan trees grow and precious oil is extracted. You ride shaded trails lined with centuries-old argan trees, with stops at a women's cooperative to watch traditional argan oil production. The fourth segment climbs toward the hills and Berber villages: pisé houses, argan fields, children waving as quads pass. Lunch is served at a local home or traditional guesthouse, with tagine, Moroccan salads, fresh bread, and mint tea. In the afternoon, you return via different tracks with photo stops and a tea break at a valley viewpoint. The day balances riding, culture, and rest — with regular pauses so everyone stays comfortable.
Our three circuit packages
The Classic Circuit (5h, 850 MAD/person) covers the essentials: beach, dunes, argan grove, and a Berber village, with a tea break but no full lunch. The Adventure Circuit (6h, 1000 MAD/person) is our most complete package: all Classic landscapes plus a traditional Berber lunch at a local home and an extra segment in the thuya forest. The Private Circuit (6h, 1200 MAD/person) is reserved for your group only (minimum 2 people) with a dedicated guide, a customisable route, and a pace adapted to your preferences. For groups of 6 or more, we offer reduced rates — contact us for a quote. All circuits include hotel transfer, helmets, insurance, and recent automatic quads. Preparing for your full-day quad circuit
A full day on a quad requires minimal but important preparation. Wear closed shoes, long trousers, and layered clothing (mornings can be cool, afternoons warm). Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a bandana to protect against sand are essential. We provide water continuously, but a personal bottle is welcome. If you have a sensitive back, note that 5–6 hours on a quad works the lower muscles — regular breaks are built into the programme. Circuits are open to motivated beginners, but reasonable fitness is recommended. If you tire, you can swap driving and passenger roles with your partner. In winter, bring a windproof jacket; in summer, start early to avoid midday heat inland. Tell us about dietary requirements when booking — we adapt Berber lunches for vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergy needs.
